"The last time I saw my mom conscious, she insisted that I take her jewelry box back to North Carolina with me. Her jewelry is all I have of hers, yet for 11 years it has sat untouched in its box, just the way my mom left it. My mom liked huge, expensive, one-of-a-kind pieces...beautiful, eye-catching, conversation-starting pieces. While it was striking, I have much more delicate taste in jewelry and couldn't wear it. Recently, I bit the bullet, took her jewelry out of the safe, and brought it to Ben, at Gabriel's, to evaluate it. I sold some of the pieces that couldn't really be transformed and Ben cleaned up, resized, recolored (from yellow gold to white) and, in some cases, completely redesigned the remaining pieces. I'm absolutely in love with my new jewelry, but especially this necklace, made from one of my mom's diamond rings. FINALLY, I have something of my mom's that I can actually wear and love wearing. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Ben. A million times over."
